For this series, I have been inspired by the natural bushlands and Yarra River in the Boroondara area. This area is familiar to me and I enjoyed painting these images because of this. The colours, textures and variations of the trees and water were something that I knew well. It is always a journey when you paint and travelling through colour and shape is sometimes the best way to travel! 

I also wanted to celebrate the natural corridors of flora and fauna we have so close to Melbourne - which are accessible to many people living in this area.
