‘Yarra River,’ celebrates the everyday beauty of our natural surrounds which sometimes go unnoticed.

As the world becomes more complex and faster, it is good to catch moments of joy and beauty in our daily lives. This series of works feature watercolours inspired by the Yarra River in Boroondara, capturing the colours that shift with the seasons and time of day. Siedle invites viewers to see the familiar aspects of the rowers and kayakers on the river with renewed appreciation, as their rhythmic and repetitive strokes create a form of moving meditation.
